Fight 1:
Keiron Connolly vs Joseph Cameron (New Blood)
Both fighters came out strong in round 1, they both showed true
heart and courage for their first fight. In round 2 Keiron
dominated and the fight was called.

Fight 2:
Devon Weston vs Vincent Reiss (New Blood)
Both fighters impressed everyone. This was both their 1st fights
and they battled it out for all 3 rounds. Devon dominated and was
more aggressive throughout the fight making him the winner.

Fight 3:
Jason Elrick vs Zane Arbi
Both fighters began strong and much heart was shown. The fight
ended with a knee to Jason's nose in round 2 causing a TKO.

Fight 4:
Teresa Farley-Nel vs Reshenda Wakefiled (WP)
These two fought both their 1st fights for a place in Nationals.
They went all 4 rounds and showed good sportsmanship. Reshenda won
on points.

Fight 5:
Ryan Berkowitz vs Funda-Lunga Tshabalala (WP)
This was Ryan's 11th fight and Funda's 1st fight and they went head
to head for all 4 rounds. Funda showed great strength and surprised
many. After an illegal elbow to the head after the bell had rung,
Ryan was slightly concust preventing him from being totally aware
in the final round. Funda then won on points.

Fight 6:
Kevin Pheko vs Sive Bans (WP)
With Kevin's original opponent pulling out last minute, Sive agreed
to fight merely hours before the tournament. Even though he had
very little preparation time, Sive put up an amazing fight which
was admirable to watch. He cut Kevin's eye in the 3rd round but
Kevin fought on. The two of them were one of the more technical
fights of the evening and everyone was impressed with their style
and heart. Kevin won on points although it was very close.

Fight 7:
Jason Bongers vs Zaine Simon (WP)
Another very technical fight. This was Jason's 2nd fight and
Zaine's 1st. Zaine showed full strength in the 1st round which lead
everyone to think that the end result could go either way. By the
3rd round Zaine has tired and Jason used this to his advantage.
Although Zaine was exhausted, he continously showed strength and
heart and his desire to win was apparent to all who watched. They
fought with style and grace and it was most enjoyable to watch.

Fight 8:
Zaphon Geldenhys vs Justin Sham (WP)
This was a rematch for these two; their previous (and first for
both) fight being in July 2008. Both have come a long way since
their 1st fight and everyone was unsure as to who would take it.
After watching both of them train so incredibly hard, not only on
fitness and technique but on weightloss too, we certainly didn't
expect the fight to go the way it did! Seems both of them
experienced fighters block; perhaps from the pressure of it being a
rematch? Neither was aggressive nor attacked very much and in
essence fought a professional fight and simply remained in defence
mode. The score was close but Zaphon won, for the second time, by
dominating in the last 2 rounds.

Fight 9:
Madeleine Ross vs Tanya Sanderson Smith (International)
Many waited in anticipation for this fight as everyone was
interested to see what Tanya's experience versus Madeleine's
strength would fabricate! They went all 4 rounds but Madeleine was
clearly the dominator as she remained calm and in control while
Tanya seemed to lose composure more than breath. Madeleine won the
International Fight Cup as well as the Best Female Fighter cup.

Fight 10:
Jason "The Bull" Roberts vs Thule (CT vs Durban)
With only 1 day's notice that his original planned opponent wasn't
going to be fighting anymore, Jason fought what some say was his
hardest in a while. His heart wanted it and his craving for that
cup was aparent to all! Both fighters fought strongly and even
though Jason very obviously dominated all 5 rounds, Thule showed
true heart as he got back up after every knock down and continued
to give his all. By the 4th round Thule was badly cut next to his
eye and was bleeding from his nose too, yet he refused to give up.
The crowd went crazy as Jason was handed the CT vs Durban Cup and
the Best Male Fighter cup.
